The First Padres
I'm super stoked to see this film. I'm a big fan of the history of baseball, San Diego and the Padres and this film has all 3 rolled into one. I saw the trailer for this quite a while back and have been eagerly awaiting it's release ever since. Then today big news has broke as there is a new website (thefirstpadres.com), a new Twitter account (@thefirstpadres), a Facebook page (facebook.com/thefirstpadres) and FINALLY a date for the premiere! It'll be on KPBS San Diego on October 8th at 9:00PM. So set your DVRs (when it's closer to that date and set-up-able of course) and watch it. There may even be an upcoming Padres and Pints revolving around this.....stay tuned.
PS- If you want to brush up on a little PCL Padres stuff the Avenger-in-Chief and I did a PCL series last year, that actually lasted longer than both of us slackers ever imagined.
