Party time!!
I've been planning this thing for a while now and hinting at it to you guys off & on, but now I can finally start releasing some details.....
Don't want to get run over by people in their "El Caminos driving back to the Ozarks"? Well stay in sunny San Diego then because on Sunday April 3rd the Fro, along with fellow blogs Avenging Jack Murphy, Ducksnorts, Gaslamp Ball, LobShots, The Sacrifice Bunt & Woe, Doctor! will unite and throw the sweetest Padres party around at the Randy Jones All American Sports Grill. I've raved in the past about how cool of a place this is, so I figured what better place to get as many Padres fans as possible to gather together and watch the Padres take on the Cardinals in St. Louis. I look at our party as being the Flava Flav for the Padres getting everyone hyped up for the Home Opener on April 5th. Baseball is here people.
-The 'ol crafty lefty himself Randy Jones & some other "special guests" will be attendance that day meeting & greeting the fans
-Jane Mitchell's new book One on One - My Journey with Hall of Famers, Fan Favorites & Rising Stars will be available for purchase, plus she'll be there in person signing! (11:00AM-12:30PM) I have this book and it is a MUST own for all Padres (...and Chargers...and sports) fans. So not only will you get an amazing book but you'll get to meet a San Diego legend & have her autograph it for you too? You can't go wrong with that!
-The Bring Back the Brown campaign will be in full effect! The petition will be available for all to sign and anyone wearing Padres Brown that day will have the luxury of receiving the "35" Happy Hour special all day ($3.35 draft beers/$4.35 well drinks/$3.35 OFF wine by the glass/$3.35 OFF appetizers)
-There's no way this lineup can get any better, right? Wrong! The San Diego Hall of Champions & the Lake Elsinore Storm will be joining in the action as well! With prizes you won't want to miss!
-Being that we are in Breakfasttown USA, there will be breakfast specials until noon. The full menu will be available as well throughout the day.
-The Madres will also be in attendance. With this flyer, 15% of all food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) purchased that day will be graciously donated to help them support Youth Baseball, Little League and Softball in San Diego. They will also be raffling off some fun items. Raffle tickets will be available there for purchase and you need not be present to win.
-The game starts at 11:15AM and it will be on 22 Big Screen TV's scattered throughout the restaurant and the 14 foot HD projection screen so you won't miss a single pitch!
