"Really? Is this guy going to talk about #balls again?!"

Yes. Yes I am.

 

So as you've been reading here lately, we've been locked into a vicious war with all things Giants, while at the same time embracing all things... #balls. To update you on the Giants front, Splashing Pumpkins had a change of heart with me, but not so much for Mat. I ended up challenging him to a friendly wager pitting my San Diego Padres vs his San Francisco Giants this season. Winner of the 2011 series will get a chance to write whatever they want (500 word max, no profanities) on the other's blog. The challenge begins at the Padres home opener on April 5th and will conclude September 14th in San Francisco.

As all of you already know by now, the #balls craze is taking over Padreland. It's been the 2nd-3rd ranked trending topic in San Diego all day long. Avenging Jack Murphy and myself were discussing it earlier today and we were asking ourselves what could be a better slogan for the 2011 season than #balls? I'll tell you what...nothing. So I went to the drawing board to come up with some things that will surely be a hit this season with the fans. Throwback colors..CHECK. Some catch phrases...CHECK. #balls....CHECK & DOUBLE CHECK. So here are 2 mini banners & a shirt, all of which are on it's way to the printers and will be done in time for the home opener where I expect to see lots of #balls signs and t-shirts :)
